Hill Street Presbyterian Church has traditionally been, and continues to be, a Bible believing church.  Hill Street Church believes that the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God and for that reason the emphasis within the ministry is overtly the systematic exposition of the Bible, both at the Sunday services and at the Wednesday evening midweek meetings.

The view of our current minister is that the teaching of the Bible is multi purpose in that it will teach believers in Christ and evangelise those who have not yet come to faith.  Therefore there is no hard and fast distinction between a teaching message and an evangelistic message.  You can't teach without evangelism and you can't evangelise without teaching.
