Christ and to introduce girls to a knowledge of Jesus. |

age range/who is the organisation for: |
|
Girls, aged between 9 and 11 years. |
| When
does the organisation meet and for how long: |
|
Thursday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.45pm. |
| What
happens during a typical meeting: |
|
There are four main aspects of the Girls
Brigade - service, physical, spiritual and educational. Each
week we try to apply each one of these to our programme, e.g. we
have a Bible class each week, we play games, skipping and P.E.,
there may be craft making or baking and we do work in the community. |
| Special
events/projects in the past: |
|
We have joined with other companies at a
team games fun day in Knocknamuckley Church and there have been
several fundraising events for Malawi and other mission work. |
| Special
events/projects in the future: |
|
It is hoped to have a residential
weekend at the Scout Centre in Crawfordsburn from the 7th to 9th
October 2005. All Juniors are welcome ... more news later! |

Girls Brigade is a great organisation
for girls, helping them to find friends and build relationships
which often last well into their teenage years.
Girls Brigade has progressed with modern
times offering varied and interesting programmes for all ages.
I would thoroughly recommend it. |
