| Purpose/Aims
of Organisation: |
|
BB is a uniformed organisation for Boys, established
and underpinned by the Christian faith.
Our aim (objective) is “The advancement of Christ’s
Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience,
reverence, discipline, self respect and all that tends towards a
true Christian manliness.”
|
 |
|
Our emblem is an anchor which stands for the
strength, hope and security which God gives and the new life we have
through Jesus (the red cross).
Our motto is taken from Hebrews Ch 6 v 19 “Such hope
we have as an anchor of the soul both sure and steadfast.”
It is our prayer that many of our boys would come to
know Jesus as their friend and Saviour. |

BB is a World Wide Christian Organisation which has
rightly earned the reputation as “First for Boys” and having been
around for more than 120 years, is part of the Boyhood experience of
many adults. Our vision is to provide, under Christian leadership,
life-forming and lasting experiences for boys through varied,
enjoyable and challenging indoor and outdoor programmes. The Boys
Brigade programme review has been completed and launched in our
Company September 2005, offering new and exciting, action packed
activities for today’s young people. BB Badge work is developed from
Luke Ch 2 v 52 “And Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in
favour with God and man” – we seek to catch the energy and
enthusiasm of youth and channel it purposefully. BB is a life style
training ground for the growing up years and will enable each
individual boy to grow into an adulthood that balances physical,
moral, social and spiritual skills. If your Boy is not involved in
BB please encourage him to come along - lots of fun and friendship
guaranteed! |
