About : Leadership Team
Nigel McCullough, Minister

I grew up near Kilkeel and studied in Aberdeen.
I'm married to Katrina and have three children -
Katie, Peter and Sam. After graduating, I worked as
an assistant minister in First Portadown and then
was minister of Ballygrainey - a church located on
the outskirts of Bangor. I came to Hill Street in
2006. It’s been great to be here and to be part of a
people who are genuine in their desire to know Jesus
and share him with others. I must confess that I am
a bit of a computer geek and a keen motorcyclist!
Andrew Faulkner, Assistant Minister

I am married to Jessica with three kids, David,
Beth and Charis. I am currently the assistant
minister at Hill Street. I was a PE teacher for nine
years before applying to start my ministerial
training. After three years of study I was assigned
to Hill St in the summer of 2008.
Hill Street is a really warm place to be - there are
lots of encouragements. It is really exciting to be
working amongst people who are experiencing God in
the messiness of life. It is a great privilege to
walk with these folk through the normal experiences
of life and to see God doing extra-ordinary things.
I am afflicted with supporting Sunderland football
club, having grown up in the North-East of England.
I love hot curries and believe popular music reached
it’s pinnacle in the mid 1980’s!
Pete Wright,
Youth Worker

I am currently working part time for Hill Street
Church as a Youth Worker and also studying part time
at Queens University Belfast. I am doing a Masters
in Theology, looking in particular at the
relationship between evangelism and social action.
I am responsible for encouraging the young people in
Church to grow as disciples of Jesus... a job that I
love but with it, comes many challenges! I am
responsible, along with an absolutely brilliant team
of volunteers, for reL8
on Saturday nights.
I also spend time on Wednesday evenings with some of
our older teenagers exploring with them what it
means to live as a disciple of Jesus today. As well
as this I spend some time in schools as part of a
REACH team and also I am involved with the
leadership of gLo - an outreach program involving
young people from different churches throughout
Lurgan.
I have been at Hill Street my whole life. I was born
into the congregation and baptised here as a child.
I love the Church. It is home for me! Many of the
people at Hill Street have been great influences on
my life, from a very early age. I feel God has
called me to be a Youth Worker at Hill Street - I am
very excited about what He has in store for us as a
Church.
I am excited also by the challenges of reaching out more
as a church into the local community. The community
we find ourselves in desperately needs Jesus... we
have a responsibility to do something about this!
There are lots of challenges facing Church but I am
excited about seeing how God will lead us through
these challenges. I'm also excited to see how God
shapes and changes me as a person along the way!
Interestingly, I have a 13cm metal pole in my left leg, I
don’t like butter, cheese, cream or milk (despite my
Dad being a milkman for many years) and I am a proud
Leeds United fan! |
