Graham Montgomery

Back in 2003 I moved from Lisburn to Magheralin. Once
Lynn and I had settled into our new surroundings we
started looking for a new new church family to be
part of. After visiting three or four
churches in the area we arrived at Hill Street. The
friendly welcome we received and relaxed atmosphere
helped us to settle in really quickly.
Outside of church I'm a teacher. I am married
with two young children and enjoy (when I get the
chance!) to go for long, leisurely walks in Gosford
Forest Park. Within church there are a number of
different activities which I help out with. I'm a
leader in the Boys Brigade and I help facilitate one
of our church
Fellowship
Groups.
Early on during the period when we first arrived
at Hill Street, going along to the
Church Weekend
really helped us to settle in and to make friends.
It was a bit daunting signing up considering that
myself and Lynn did not know many people at the time
but the experience proved to be very enjoyable. It
was a great opportunity to get to know other young
families within the church.
Going to Hill Street has helped me to grow as a
Christian. Listening to
Nigel and Andrew
teach from the Bible each week helps me to mature in
my walk with Jesus. Being with other people keen to
do the same, encourages and challenges me to keep
going! |
